Objectives

• Describe an approach to traumatic injury from a gender perspective.

• Identify gender issues in clinical cases of trauma and injury.

• Discuss the injury model and public health approach to injury and trauma.[1]

• Explain basic concepts related to trauma at a level appropriate for  junior medical students.
